I don’t want to say goodbye; rather, I would like to celebrate your life and to express my sincere gratitude for all you did for me and for everyone you knew.
I began working with you in 1991 and I am so proud to have been your colleague for so many years; but you were also my mentor, a shoulder to lean on, always encouraging. You helped me develop and flourish. I would not be where I am today without you and your unwavering support.
Above all though, you were a cherished friend who will be sorely missed. I will miss our chats, the way we roared with laughter, our understanding, empathy, camaraderie, our solidarity.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I will never forget you.
You will always be in my heart and the hearts of all those who knew you.

" Sometimes, you know someone that you're always glad to speak to, that is always positive and kind, and on whom you can count without second thought. Claire was that kind of person and more. She had faith in us all and she never put herself forward, she never complained and was always humble about everything she accomplished. Which was a lot. The utter sense of loss from us all is proof of how much we all thought of her. It's hard to come to terms with but my memories of her will burn brightly right back when I first met her over twenty years ago. "

" My sister had a generosity of spirit, a relentless positivity and thirst for knowledge that drove her through life. My sadness at losing her is overwhelming and a reality almost beyond my comprehension. Knowing that she had so many friends and family in France around her right to the end is a great comfort. I hope her life continues to be an inspiration to those who knew her as it will always be to us. Rest now my darling sister as you rarely paused for long in life. " Our hearts have been broken by the loss of our precious daughter and sister, Claire. She achieved so much in her life; was loved and respected by so many. Hers was a life well lived; she always put the needs of others before her own. She loved us all, cared for everyone, unconditionally. She cared deeply for the world at large and had so much more to give, so many plans for the future. The only explanation we can have for this, is that God is calling angels home. All her family in England are broken hearted; she was the cornerstone of the family. May she RIP until we meet again. "

Claire restera dans mes souvenirs comme une personne qui s'est donné pleinement à son activité professionnelle dédiée aux autres professionnelles dans l'enseignement de l'anglais dans le cadre de la formation professionnelle.
